Dunhinda Falls : දුන්හිඳ දියඇල්ල

Dunhinda falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Meaning of "Dun" in sinhala is smoke and the mist created by this falls is like a smoke. Dunhinda waterfall is located in Uva Provinece, Sri Lanka and it is about 5 kilometres away from Badulla town. To reach the Dunhinda waterfall, have to walk on a foot path about 1km through the forest. The "Kuda Dunhinda falls" also can be seen from distance when going on that foot path and this journey is worth well for who loves the nature.

Sailing on Jetliner

Jetliner is the largest passenger ship of Sri Lanka Navy and it is giving nautical experiences under the theme ‘Visit Sri Lanka 2011′. That is a joint venture between Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. They are organizing various kind of sailing tours such as “Sunset Cruise”, ”Cruise to Bentota” , ”Day out to Galle” and these photos are taken in a special 2 days trip from Colombo to Galle, Galle to Hambanthota harbor in November, 2010. Bambarakanda Waterfall

Bambarakanda waterfall is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. Situated in Kalupahana area in Badulla District. It’s height 263 m (863 ft) and ranks as the 299 th highest waterfall in the world. Water source is Kuda oya and heading to Walawe river.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage


Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Sri Lanka  was established for caring  orphaned baby elephants that were found in the wild. It's situated near the Kandy-Colombo road and easy to reach. There are around 90 elephants and you can see feeding, nursing and bathing elephants under supervision of expertise  This is one of the best places for watching elephants and their behaviors. Even you can feed a milk bottle to a baby elephant.
